Beyond the Barrier [or] Brick Wall
By Claire Enos
Past the hurtful words and the insincere remarks is someone hurting, deep inside. The hurtful words and insincere remarks just a barrier. A brick wall if you will, built to protect a broken heart, as it is repaired, painstakingly, over weeks, months, possibly years. And while the heart waits to be completely healed, by the loving touch of one who cares, it can only be taped up waiting for the repairman to show up and take charge.
There are still cracks, but maybe-- just maybe-- the heart that has been broken can be repaired, with the hard work of the owner, and a lot of tape. Still, the cracks will show. Some of the heart crumbling from further blows, until it is fortified, not with a wall, but with a glue gun and magic. Slow, calculated magic, here and there, where needed.
Until eventually, miraculously, all has been healed.
Meanwhile, through the whole process, life has continued on. And the owner, not able to spend every moment working on the heart, must continue on. Learn a few hard lessons. And sometimes, all the magic really needs is a few reliable, good friends. Friends who don't judge. Friends who don't go out and cause trouble. Friends who are there when the owner needs a listening ear, but nothing more. Friends who stay out of the way while the heart is repaired, because they know there's nothing they can do beyond just be there for the owner.
In the end, the owner somehow manages to learn a few difficult lessons, repair a broken heart, tear down most of the wall, and make a few new friends while figuring out who their real friends are. Maybe the owner would even manage to figure out who they really are, not who they pretend to be around everyone else. That might be asking a little much, but with God, nothing is impossible. There is always a plan, and it can't be upset by man, or anyone else, just free agency.
So, with that, I bid each of you goodnight.

Gods plan can not be upset by free agency. All you can do is lose your personal blessings with it. Remember, he is and always has been omnipotent.
ReplyDeleteAlso, a heart broken by love never truely repairs, we just learn to live with the pain and move on. Remember alway, true love never dies or weakens!
